Latest from the team

Developer notes

The latest updates from the Telcoin Network engineering team.

Updated 30 September 2026

  • The independent security audit is in its final stages: remediation work is essentially complete and under researcher review, with only the consolidated final report now outstanding. The same researchers who found the issues are reviewing fixes directly on GitHub pull requests.
  • One of the flagged high-severity findings, around historical snapshot restoration, has already been patched; snapshot restoration doesn't apply at this stage since all mainnet validators must sync full history.
  • Researchers gave unprompted positive feedback on the codebase's clarity and quality throughout the review.
  • Networking and per-worker infrastructure hardening has been a major, active workstream through late September, including per-worker RPC/IPC endpoint handling, network key validation, committee worker startup, and expanded multi-worker test coverage, as the team prepares the network to run reliably at scale.
  • A full 10-validator saturation benchmark ran across five global regions (two nodes per zone, all 13 transaction types, chaos-testing validator kill/restart) to pressure-test the network under sustained load ahead of mainnet.
  • That benchmark reshaped the validator hardware requirements: minimum spec is now 4 physical cores and 16GB RAM (32GB recommended), down sharply from earlier placeholder estimates, with disk I/O identified as the tightest resource. Storage requirements were also revised down to 2TB at the current throughput ceiling.
