Council Members: TEL Distribution Levels

Overview

Miner Council Members receive TEL via Sablier streams that originate from the TEL Treasury.

Council Member NFTs

Each Miner Council has its own NFT contract that grants each Council Member with proposal and voting authority over their domain. Council Members are transferred council NFTs upon selection by miners as a result of delegation and election processes.

The TEL Treasury sends a Sablier stream of TEL to the NFT contract, which is specially designed to split incoming streams equally and redirect them to holders of the NFT.

In year one, a total of 30M TEL streams to Council NFTs on a per block basis, with calculations based off of time, split evenly among the 33 elected Council Members across all Miner Councils and the TAO, at a rate of 909,090.905 TEL per member.

Distribution Mechanisms

  • Specification: The TAO will initiate Sablier streams to each of the Council’s NFT contracts.
  • Control: After the Councils have been organized, control over the Treasury and distribution infrastructure is empowered to the Platform, Treasury Council who may collaborate to make changes using the TELIP process.
